Since its opening in 2019, the ICICLE flagship store at 35 avenue George V, Paris 8 hosts a Cultural Space on the 3rd floor. The bookstore and exhibition space reflect our philosophy of harmony between man and nature through a rich cultural programming, and a selection of inspiring books. An invitation to an artistic and cultural journey from the East to the West.

“LIFE LINES“

20 March – 30 May 2024

Starting from the 20th of March, the Cultural Space in Paris hosts an exhibition dedicated to Li Kunwu, the most famous Chinese illustrator. He presents a series of recent works that celebrate life through everyday scenes.

ART GALLERY

ICICLE supports contemporary art, craftsmanship and design, exhibiting artists and designers all year round in its Paris Cultural Space. The eclectic programming, in line with ICICLE’s philosophy, is devoted to multidisciplinary creation—painting, sculpture, photography, literature, and music. Invited artists come from all over the world, nourishing fruitful cultural exchanges.

A place for discovery, sharing and learning, the ICICLE Cultural Space hosts conferences as part of its exhibitions, and welcomes artists, art historians, philosophers and journalists to share their unique vision. Culture is alive and well at the ICICLE gallery. It brings people together around shared values, building bridges across cultures. It connects people to each other, to themselves and the environment.

BOOKSTORE

The ICICLE bookstore presents more than 500 carefully selected books to explore a philosophy inspired by nature, and to provide food for thought to everyone. Dedicated to the art of living, Chinese thought and 21st-century China, it brings together both classic and contemporary authors, offering a broad perspective on Chinese culture and traditions, as well as the fields they have influenced and the foreign writers they have inspired.

Made from walnut panels, the ICICLE bookstore evokes the Ming dynasty bookcases. Furniture from this period is renowned for its simple elegance, with clean lines and harmonious proportions that enhance the natural beauty of materials—an ancestral yet resolutely contemporary approach to design and craftsmanship. The wood grain unveils outstanding contrasts of colours, which enfold the space in all simplicity. Faithful to Chinese tradition, the sobriety of the lines calls for clarity of mind.
